Rung on Patronal Festival, and in loving memory of Ruth Smith, 1932 - 2017, one of the founding members of the St. James Cathedral band and a dedicated ringer until health issues precluded regular ringing. Ruth had requested a quarter of Stedman, but we were unable to oblige. However, when the quarter came round, we rang a plain course of Stedman. Ruth's two daughters and extended family were present to listen.
