Half-muffled at backstroke on Holy Tuesday. Especially arranged following the Committal of the earthly remains of Canon John Wilfred Everett MA (Cantab.) at nearby Charing Crematorium attended by his immediate family.
The Treble ringer was married in the old Ashford Parish Church, Kent, by Canon Everett (Vicar 1982-2002) in 1984, and was also a prominent member of the Ashford band for several years of Canon Everett's Incumbency there. The Conductor, who attended the funeral today as a personal friend, was a member of the Ashford band for the last two years of Canon Everett's Incumbency and after.
